The President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik left the building of the RS Administrative Center in East Sarajevo, N1 BiH reported.
Dodik was in that building last night when members of the Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIPA) came to arrest him.
Radio Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS) reports that Dodik today, together with the rector of the University of East Sarajevo, Milan Kulić, opened the building of the Rectorate and the Music Academy in East Sarajevo.
Sarajevo portal Raport announced last night that SIPA members attempted to arrest Dodik, suspected of attacking the constitutional order of BiH, but that they gave up due to threats from the RS police that they would protect Dodik with weapons.
RTRS announced last night that three SIPA inspectors attempted to enter the RS Administrative Center in East Sarajevo to serve Dodik with an arrest warrant, but were prevented from doing so by the RS police.
SIPA confirmed last night that inspectors from this agency arrived in front of the RS Administrative Center in East Sarajevo with the intention of executing the order of the Court of BiH to arrest Dodik, but that members of the RS police told them to withdraw.
Dodik stated last night that SIPA broke the law by trying to arrest him in the Administrative Center in East Sarajevo, because RS adopted a law prohibiting that police agency from operating on its territory.
"This is Republika Srpska, and SIPA broke the law. I feel good and safe. I have no intention of leaving this facility under pressure," Dodik said last night at a press conference at the RS Administrative Center in East Sarajevo.
Dodik is suspected of attacking the constitutional order of BiH and the Court of BiH issued a central arrest warrant for him because he did not respond to the State Prosecutor's Office's summons to be questioned.
All police agencies in BiH were ordered to bring Dodik to the Court of BiH, which ordered his detention.
In addition to Dodik, a central arrest warrant has also been issued for RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković and RS Parliament Speaker Nenad Stevandić.
Sarajevo media announced last night that members of the RS police who, in East Sarajevo, threatened to prevent SIPA members from arresting Dodik will be suspected of "armed rebellion".
