The legal representative of Belgrade Law Faculty student and Montenegrin citizen Helena Strugar, lawyer Sara El Sarag, announced today that she will file an appeal with the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) against her client's entry ban into Serbia.

The lawyer told Beta news agency that she would file an appeal within the legal deadline against what she called an illegal decision by the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The student, who was a participant in the student blockades, was handed a decision that she could not enter Serbia at the border crossing on April 22nd.

"They concluded (on the decision) that I was endangering the security of Serbia and its citizens. Without any explanation, without any basis, without any evidence," she told Insider.

She also said that she would continue to support her colleagues, and that, as she stated, there is no basis on which they could expel her from Serbia, according to the website of the television station.

The decision to ban the student from entering was also condemned by several opposition parties in Serbia.
