Self-Determination candidate Albuljen Haxhiu did not receive the necessary 61 votes to be elected as the Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly at today's seventh session of the constituent session of the Kosovo Parliament.
Today, like last time, 57 MPs voted for it, 41 against, while three abstained.
Representatives of the former opposition stated after the session that they would not vote for Hadžija, but that they were ready to support another candidate from the ranks of Self-Determination.
The Democratic League of Kosovo reiterated that they "will never vote for a Self-Determination candidate" for parliament speaker.
Chairing the constitutive session, Avni Dehari announced the eighth session for Tuesday, April 29th.
