Južne Vesti journalist Tamara Radovanović said that she was attacked by a supporter of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Niš on Voždova Street at around 20.30:XNUMX p.m. while she was on a work assignment.

"I was filming buses carrying away SNS supporters, when a man from a group standing at the intersection near Crveni Pevac approached me and tried to push my hand away and take my phone," Radovanović told the Beta agency.

She said that a plainclothes police officer approached her and escorted her to the other side of the street.

"The police officer didn't remove the man who attacked me, he removed me, and that's what the attacker asked for. He said to remove me, because I would cause a problem," said Radovanović.

The police officer, she added, told her that she could go to the police station in the municipality of Mediana to identify the attacker, even though her video clearly showed who the attacker was.

A rally of government supporters called "The National Assembly" was organized in Niš today, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also spoke at the event. Although the rally was announced to last three days, it actually lasted several hours, including a concert by folk singer Aca Lukas.
