The Republic Election Commission of Serbia announced the results of yesterday's local elections in Kosjerić.
According to the results with 100 percent of the votes counted, the "We Will Not Give Up Serbia - Aleksandar Vučić" list won 3.686 votes (49,23 percent), or 14 seats. The "United for Kosjerić" list came in second with 51 votes less, or 3.635 votes or 48,54 percent, which is 13 seats.
The remaining list that participated in the elections, the Russian Party – Slobodan Nikolić, won 48 votes and did not pass the threshold, the RIK announced.
Raša Nedeljkov, program director of the CRTA association, whose observers monitored yesterday's local elections in Zaječar and Kosjerić, stated late last night that, based on preliminary results in the Zaječar elections, the SNS won 27 seats, and the opposition 23.
The SNS won 14.199 votes, the "Change We Believe In" list 10.312 votes, and "United for the Save of Zaječar" 2.184.
According to him, the Socialist Party of Serbia and the lists "Home for Zaječar", "We the Power of the People - City of Zaječar", "Serbian Liberals" and "Coalition for Eastern Serbia" remained below the threshold.
Nedeljkov said that, due to election irregularities, the results do not reflect the will of the citizens.
Serbian President and SNS member Aleksandar Vučić said last night that the party had won the elections in Zaječar convincingly, and that it was "close" in Kosjerić, but that they had won by 51 votes.
The opposition had previously declared victory in the elections in those two places.
The representative of the opposition list "Change We Believe in", Dragana Rašić, said last night that the citizens of Zaječar will defend on the streets, as she claims, the opposition's victory in the local elections.
"I warned the SNS not to try to steal a single vote. Their methods are clear to us and this is the expected scenario, it is nothing spectacular. But we will preserve our victory," Rašić told N1.
"United for Kosjerić" claimed to have 36 more votes than the SNS
Candidate for mayor from the "United for Kosjerić" list, Slavica Pantović, said last night that the list won 36 more votes than the SNS.
She told reporters at the time that an analysis of all lists and irregularities was underway.
"We are dealing in detail with all irregularities. What was observed as the most serious is that people voted in some places without being registered. This is a really big irregularity and there will certainly be more of them," she said, as reported by N1.
Vlade Joksimović from that list said that the data published by CRTA last night was based on 85 percent of the material reviewed and that it differs from the data the opposition has.
Around 22 p.m., the opposition declared victory in the elections in Kosjerić.
Soon, CRTA announced that, according to preliminary results, the SNS won 51 votes more than the opposition, and around 22.30:XNUMX p.m., Vučić said that the list bearing his name had won.
