Vučić: Shooting at SNS premises a desperate move by those who lost, will test Serb-Serbian conflict
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said this morning that the suspect in last night's shooting at the offices of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Vrnjacka Banja is "a participant in all the protests, who took pictures with the most prominent figures from the opposition and the non-governmental sector."
"This is a desperate move by those who lost but cannot accept it, they will accept it soon. They will try some more violence around Vidovdan, they will try to incite a Serb-Serbian conflict, to attack Serbian children, but that is coming to an end," Vučić told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
He also criticized RTS, saying that it was participating in a "campaign against a political option," stating that he would not have been asked about the attack if he had not come to be a guest, that it "wouldn't even be news."
He also said that "the time for responsibility is coming."
"To those who speak, Vučić can come up with the laws he wants, (I say) the ones we come up with and will be passed, I'm talking about higher education. All those responsible will be brought to justice. From those who destroyed our university, education system, to those who destroyed all other state institutions, namely the RTS, which has been destroyed less than other sectors - the prosecution, the judiciary, the police," Vučić said.
