Kosovo's acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said today that Pristina stands with the United States and the European Union regarding the threat posed by Iran's nuclear program.
"Kosovo supports the position of the US and the European Union regarding Iran's nuclear weapons program," Kurti wrote on Facebook.
He added that the US is "a key ally, an irreplaceable partner and a special friend of Kosovo."
"Kosovo is firmly committed to defending democratic and Euro-Atlantic values. The US is a democratic superpower that should be supported," Kurti said.
Reacting to the US action in Iran, he assessed that the proliferation of nuclear weapons is a "serious threat to global security."
"International security needs fewer nuclear weapons, not more nuclear bombs that threaten humanity," the Prime Minister of Kosovo believes.
Albin Kurit expressed particular concern about authoritarian states that, according to him, are developing weapons of mass destruction programs.
"Especially when it comes to authoritarian states that are developing nuclear weapons programs, this issue becomes urgent and alarming," Kurti wrote.
