Citizens of Novi Sad gathered tonight on the street where the president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Miloš Vučević lives, where they shouted "Miloš, scum!", "Serb, slave", "Thieves, thieves", and also threw eggs at several members of the SNS, who were filming the protesting citizens.
The protest was called by the Students Blockading the University of Novi Sad, because the SNS beaters who broke the jaw of student Ana were acquitted of criminal liability based on the pardon decision of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, "while detentions and political trials are being conducted against the students."
Dozens of cyclists and bikers are also at the rally.
The crowd also shouts "Your hands are bloody!", "Pump!", and writes messages on the asphalt "Your hands are bloody" and "Thief".
The SNS officials, who were gathered in a nearby cafe, were told by the crowd, "Wow, thieves," and "Slavery."
In their call for protest, the students stated that "all SNS 'hero' thugs are at large" and that the government had "exceeded all deadlines".
They said that the beaters were not heroes.
They recalled that the Higher Court in Novi Sad has still not made a decision on the request for release from house arrest of six activists and students.
"Six activists have been illegally detained for five months, and six in exile, simply because they fought for truth and justice," the students pointed out.
