The leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik stated tonight in Banja Luka that a permanent solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is the existence of three entities, with the Federation of BiH being divided into a Croat and a Bosniak part.
"That would be the best solution. Good cooperation will remain. The constitutional crisis is an overall crisis of the system in BiH due to (High Representative in BiH Kristijan) Schmidt's decisions, and the responsibility lies with Bosniak representatives who respect the decisions of an unauthorized foreign representative," he told reporters in Banja Luka after a meeting with the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH (HDZ BiH), Dragan Čović.
He assessed that "this means that Bosniaks want to take revenge on Christians - Serbs and Croats", adding that "if Bosniaks were to organize themselves in 24 percent of the Muslim state, they would not succeed in doing so, because they are permanently incapable of doing so".
Dodik further stated that the SNSD rejects any objections that it is an obstacle on BiH's European path, adding that today's meeting with Čović confirmed the good cooperation between the two parties.
"We have full responsibility for the functioning of the constitutional order of BiH. We are trying to ensure that the institutions of BiH function in accordance with the Constitution," he said.
He assessed that it would be disastrous if the budget was not adopted at the BiH level by the end of the year.
"In the coming period, the time is coming to change the Election Law. We have been supporting this for more than a decade and we are ready to participate in that part of the changes. Everything that Christian Schmidt did should be annulled," Dodik stressed.
He also said that the SNSD has shown its willingness to preserve stability and peace in BiH, adding that the party does not oppose BiH's European path, but that it will "choose interlocutors on that path."
He reiterated that there is not much optimism when it comes to BiH's European path.
"Considering the current administration led by the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Luigi Sorrec, who does not even have a "p" in the rule of law. You also have (European Commissioner for Enlargement) Marta Kos, who comes to Sarajevo and supports only one people, and that is Muslims," Dodik assessed.
