European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the European Union (EU) will always remember the genocide in Srebrenica.
She arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) today and first visited the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potočari, where she paid tribute to the Srebrenica victims.
"I paid tribute to the memory of more than 8.300 Bosniak boys and men who were killed in Srebrenica thirty years ago. And I paid tribute to the mothers, wives and daughters who carried the burden of loss for three long decades. It is our duty to preserve the truth and actively work towards reconciliation," she wrote on X.
