The leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and former president of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, stated today that it is important for RS to have access to decision-making centers, namely the United States (USA) and Russia.
"Europe has been pushed aside. (Russian President Vladimir) Putin is not ready to leave Russians on the Ukrainian side. He fought for 15 million people. The politics of the liberals have completely failed. All that remains is the defense of rotten systems," Dodik said, appearing on the Morning Program of Radio Television RS (RTRS).
He added that the RS government "fought" against the administration of former US President Joseph Biden, which, as he stated, "exerted serious pressure and sanctions and fabricated processes" on RS representatives, who "even then did not hide that they expected (US President Donald) Trump to win."
"Trump himself said that the Biden administration is the worst government America has ever had, and we had a clash with that government. We are working persistently, and we worked with people from Trump's staff during Biden's administration. Trump also abolished the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He said that he would not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries," Dodik pointed out.
He further assessed that Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is an "impossible country", that it is always in crisis and that the question arises - does it make sense for it to function anymore?
"Muslims were seeking a unitary country for themselves. They did that when we formed the RS National Assembly in 1991 and I was there then. We could have decided to stay in a Muslim country and get lost, and Serbs realized that they had to fight for autonomy," he said.
According to him, BiH needs dialogue so that the state does not fall apart.
Dodik also announced that he would travel to Belarus, where he would "have important meetings."
"Our activity continues, and I have more energy than I had before. We know what we are doing, including in terms of rehabilitating relations with the US," he stated.
He added that he intends for "his structure to win in all elections," emphasizing that he "is not giving up on political engagement" and that he will "continue to fight for the people in the best way possible."
"I made it possible for the President of the RS to appear in the Kremlin, Hungary, let alone cooperation with Serbia. We have contacts with important European leaders," Dodik concluded.
