Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has stated that this year will be politically difficult because it is an election year, and that early parliamentary elections will be organized in October, November, or December.
He told TV Informer that the date of the elections depends on the agreement of political actors, if, as he stated, they want to agree.
The students in the blockade have been demanding the calling of early parliamentary elections for a long time, while part of the opposition believes that Vučić is not calling them because he is afraid of losing power.
The students in the blockade and the opposition reacted negatively to the Serbian President's previous invitations to talk about various topics.
Vučić reiterated tonight that this year will be the most successful in economic terms.
According to him, it is important for the people of Serbia that peace and stability be preserved and that we "unite."
"When I say unite, I don't mean political parties, because that will never be possible, but rather people to start thinking about their country, to fight, to defend our values, and those are the democratic values of a state-forming people," Vučić said.
