Director, screenwriter and owner of the famous acting school "Stvar Srca", Miroslav Mika Aleksić, against whom criminal proceedings are being conducted on suspicion of rape and sexual harassment, died today after a long and serious illness, media reported.
He suffered from a serious illness, and in recent years, proceedings were being conducted against him before the Higher Court in Belgrade on charges of sexually abusing seven female students at that school.
Trials have been postponed for the past year and a half due to his serious health condition.
He was arrested in January 2021 and was in custody until September 10 of the same year, when he was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
In mid-March 2022, that measure was lifted and he defended himself from freedom.
He last appeared in court in December 2024.
Miroslav Aleksić was born in 1952 in Belgrade.
