Police have found and fined a driver who drove his car at 293 kilometers per hour on a highway and posted the video on social media, the North Macedonian Interior Ministry announced.

As stated, the traffic police and the Mobile Road Safety Unit immediately took operational measures and activities after a video was published on social networks, showing a person driving a car at a speed of 293 kilometers per hour on the Skopje - Đevđelija highway, near Negotin, where the allowed speed is 120 kilometers per hour.

"After the actions taken, the person driving the vehicle was identified, found and summoned. In connection with the incident, the person AD (36) from the village of Elovo, Skopje region, was sanctioned in accordance with legal provisions," the statement reads.
