United States President Donald Trump congratulated Kosovo on its 18th anniversary of independence, stressing that "the United States remains steadfast in its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo."
"As our relationship continues to deepen, we look forward to expanding our partnership, including increasing trade and investment that foster shared prosperity," Trump's letter to Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said.
The letter also states that the US is ready to work "side by side with Kosovo to advance peace and stability, for mutual benefit."
"I want to thank you and all the citizens of Kosovo for your continued support for the United States' efforts to address global challenges in Ukraine, Gaza, and elsewhere. I also welcome Kosovo as a founding member of the Peace Council, whose goal is to make the world safer, stronger, and more prosperous," Trump's letter states.
Trump also stated that this anniversary is "an opportunity to reflect on Kosovo's progress," and that he looks forward to "even stronger cooperation and partnership."
