Serbian President and member of the Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vučić declared the party's victory in all ten cities and municipalities where local elections were held today.
Serbian citizens elected local parliaments in the city of Bor, the municipalities of Smederevska Palanka, Bajina Bašta, Kula, Lučani, Aranđelovac, Kladovo, Knjaževac and Majdanpek, and in the Užice city municipality of Sevojno.
As Vučić said, in Smederevska Palanka, where there were the most registered voters, the SNS list won 58 percent of the vote.
The Student List won 29,22 percent, and "United for Palanka" nine percent of the vote, Vučić said at the SNS headquarters.
He points out that the most uncertain was in Kula.
"Until we got everything, we were not allowed to appear before you. It was uncertain until the last polling station."
Vučić said that the SNS won 50,52 percent of the vote, or 11.510 votes compared to 10.997 votes won by the "Voice of the Youth of the Municipality of Kula", without results from one polling station.
In Bor, he said, there are the most unknowns, because data from five out of 48 polling stations is missing.
He claims that the SNS has a lead of 1.900 votes and that it is "practically impossible to achieve."
"In percentages, of the valid votes - 49,22 percent for us, 40,3 for the blockaders, 3,96 for Predrag Balašević - the Wallachian People's Party, he will have a mandate or two," Vučić said.
The Serbian President stressed that the results of the local elections he is announcing are not final, but "as if they were, because we have calculated that it is impossible for the results to change". "We have six or seven final ones, with the votes counted".
He said that in Arandjelovac, based on 90 percent of polling stations processed, the SNS list won 52,96 percent, and the "Students for Arandjelovac" list won 44,9 percent of voter support.
"It is impossible for the results to change, there are still three polling stations left," he added.
In Bajina Bašta, he said, votes from 51 out of 52 polling stations were processed - the SNS list won 53,49 percent of the votes, and the "United for Bajina Bašta" list 41,35 percent.
"It is not even theoretically possible for change to occur here," said the Serbian president.
The SNS, as he said, probably celebrated most convincingly in Kladovo.
According to these data, the SNS won 71,98 percent, and the student list 26,69 percent of the votes.
He also says that the SNS won 57,11 percent of support in Knjaževac.
"The blockers had two lists, one received 8,9 and the other 32,9 percent."
Vučić said that the people of Lucan were a "big surprise" for him, because the SNS, as he said, won 63,78 percent of the vote.
He explained that these are 24 mandates for the SNS, and 11 for the student list.
Vučić also stated that, according to the final results, the SNS in Majdanpek won 65,64 percent of the votes, the "Nu dau" list 19 percent, and Damjan Stevkić 13 percent.
In Sevojno, he said, four out of five polling stations have been processed and "it is very tight and uncertain."
"It's 51,48 percent to 44,84 percent for now, but we have an unofficial result from the last polling station, where we know we won. Milan Stamatović, whose list is 'on the edge', can also pass the threshold. He can't decide the winner, but he can change the order of mandates," Vučić said.
Higher turnout, irregularities...
According to reports from independent observers on the ground, election day passed with numerous irregularities in most places, with physical clashes and injured citizens, activists and journalists.
Media in Serbia reported that in all ten places, turnout was higher than in the 2022 elections.
