In Serbia, excise duties charged by the state on unleaded gasoline and diesel have been further reduced as of today, as stipulated by the amendment to the Regulation on Limiting the Price of Petroleum Products, which was adopted by the Government of Serbia.
From today, until April 24th, an excise tax of 54 dinars per liter will be paid on unleaded gasoline, and 55,53 dinars per liter on diesel, as stipulated in the Regulation adopted by the Serbian Government yesterday, N1 reported.
The Serbian Government simultaneously repealed the Decision on the temporary reduction of excise duties on petroleum derivatives, which initially reduced excise duties on fuel to 57,6 dinars for unleaded gasoline and 59,23 dinars for gas oils (diesel), while the excise duty on leaded gasoline was reduced to 61,24 dinars by this decision.
This, as stated, means that the excise duty on unleaded gasoline has been lowered by another 3,6 dinars over the next 15 days, and on diesel by 3,7 dinars.
The full amount of excise duty, stipulated by the Law on Excise Duties, is 72 dinars for unleaded gasoline, and 74,04 dinars for diesel.
The first reduction in excise duties, due to the rise in oil prices on the world market caused by the war in Iran, was by a fifth of the value (by 20 percent) and was applied from March 13th.
The application was limited until April 15th, but the Serbian Government decided to further lower excise duties earlier, this time limiting their application to 15 days, starting today, ending on April 24th.
The new excise duty amounts on gasoline and diesel are lower by a quarter, or 25 percent, compared to the amounts determined by the Excise Duty Law.
