A Montenegrin citizen was arrested on the "Priječatstvo" highway for driving at a speed of 205 kilometers per hour, 85 kilometers per hour over the speed limit, the North Macedonian police announced today.

According to the statement, police officers from Đevđelija arrested Montenegrin citizen DB (36) for speeding yesterday at 11:09 on the A1 ("Friendship") highway near the Đevđelija village of Miletkovo, in southern North Macedonia.

"During a traffic control with radar, police officers determined that DB was driving a BMW passenger vehicle with Montenegrin license plates at a speed of 205 kilometers per hour, in a place where the traffic sign limits the speed to 120 kilometers per hour," it is specified.

It is added that the public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Đevđelija was informed about the incident and that appropriate charges were filed against the Montenegrin driver.

At the same location on the "Priječajstvo" highway, a few days ago, on July 11, a 46-year-old Turkish citizen was arrested for speeding, driving his Mercedes at a speed of 203 kilometers per hour.
