As reported by HRT, a large fire that broke out in Lokva Rogoznica and spread to Omiš left behind enormous damage - houses, cars and boats burned down.

321 people are currently being cared for in the small hall of the Gripe Sports Center in Split, while around 800 people are staying in the Ribnjak Sports Hall in Omiš. 45 people were cared for in Makarska during the night, and left their accommodation on Friday morning.

"I would like to express my support and human understanding to those who were killed in the fire, to their families, and I would like to wish everyone a full recovery. That is now in the hands of doctors," said Croatian President Zoran Milanović, who arrived in Omiš.
