A worker told Vučić that he was fired because he didn't go to a rally, and he replied: "If that's the reason, they'll all be fired."

During Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's visit to the Toplica District today, an employee of the Public Utility Company Merošina said that he was fired because he did not go to the rally, to which Vučić replied that everyone would be fired if that was true.

The citizen said that he had been working on a temporary contract for eight years, that he was fired because he did not go to the rally, and Vučić said that it was a "slightly stupid reason", but that if that was the reason, "they will all be fired", and that if that was not the reason, he "will not get a new job", he can be heard saying in a recording published by the organization Crta on the social network X.

The announcement was responded to by the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, who asked why an objective non-governmental organization does not want to provide complete information, which people "can very easily hear on the recording", reports N1.

Ana Brnabić stated that Vučić "clearly asks" the man: "You weren't at the rally and that's why they fired you?", and then adds: "If that's the reason, they'll all be fired."

"I think the president's message is quite clear, but it doesn't fit your narrative, so you left it out," Brnabić said on the X network.

The organization Crta asked Brnabić about these allegations: "How can the president fire anyone?"
