Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama issued a message of support for former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army on the day of the "March for Freedom" in Pristina.
He said that Kosovo triumphed by believing in freedom when it had nothing but a thirst for it, and that he expects Hashim Thaci to triumph in the same way.
Rama wrote in a Facebook post, "Freedom for liberators," alongside a video of four former KLA leaders.
"The farce is in its last days and a man can expect anything from its authors, but as Hashim himself said, no one can take away his freedom, anywhere. And just as Kosovo triumphed by believing in freedom even when it had no one and nothing but its own thirst for freedom, so too will Hashim Thaci triumph, with the power of his truth, which the years spent in prison have only made greater, together with the support of the entire Albanian people," it states.
The "March for Freedom" begins in Pristina today at 14 p.m., in support of four senior former KLA officers, a few days before the Special Court's verdict against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselji, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.
