Students and representatives of their electoral list are sharing an 11-point program at stands in Vojvodina today, the implementation of which, they say, should lead to the country's recovery.
As reported by Nova.rs, their program is divided into three parts, and the goal, as they stated, is to stop the robbery with decisive cuts, return the stolen money to the budget, and invest it in education and the economy.
These are the points of their program:
Serbia or mafia?
1. Liberating the courts and prosecutor's office with the formation of the Special Prosecutor's Police
The formation of a verified police unit that independently investigates corruption and arrests those responsible without political obstruction, while freeing judges and prosecutors from political pressure. Comprehensive, thorough control of the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, removal from service of officials and members connected to the mafia. Dismissal of all police officers who violated the laws of the service in the confrontation with rebellious students and citizens.
2. Law on the Origin and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets and Lustration of Public Officials
Strengthening and staffing the Tax Administration for the purpose of uncompromising examination of the assets of public officials and the return of stolen public money to the budget. Reviewing the actions of public officials and holding accountable all individuals who have abused their position, engaged in corruption or violated human rights, the Constitution and laws.
3. Full transparency of public procurement and audits of government projects
Opening all contracts and tenders to the public, strengthening the State Audit Institution and auditing all previous non-transparent and overpaid infrastructure projects, with special emphasis on secret agreements, lex specialis and projects that missed completion deadlines.
4. Media Liberation
Unblocking and de-partitioning REM, which will immediately begin operating in accordance with the law and return the media to the framework of the law. Liberating RTS. Investigating the responsibility of journalists and the management of all state and private television stations, in line with years of discrimination and the spread of hate speech. Taking away and assigning new national frequencies and strengthening the role of the Press Council in controlling the legality of the work of print media.
"Knowledge is power"
5. Professional employment and departmentalization of the public sector
Abolishing party patronage, moving to strict competitions, and placing proven experts at the helm of public enterprises instead of party henchmen.
We are abolishing the party-based appointment of directors and introducing strict financial control of work.
6. Innovations in learning and free textbooks
We are investing in modern educational programs, critical thinking and practical knowledge adapted to the 21st century. To make top-quality education accessible to all, free textbooks will be provided for all elementary and secondary school students, regardless of their place of residence. Field trips and extracurricular activities will become financially accessible.
7. Knowledge economy, support for domestic entrepreneurs and farmers
Connecting universities, institutes and professional associations with the economy. Strong grants and subsidies for startups, innovations, domestic entrepreneurs and farmers, with the aim of moving from a cheap labor model to a modern high-value economy.
Serbia is growing with us.
8. Permanent contracts after 12 months
Amendment to the Labor Law: shortening the maximum fixed-term employment from 24 to 12 months, thus eliminating years of blackmailing of employees and ensuring job security.
9. Ending the monopoly of the import lobby and ensuring food security
By maintaining a monopoly and exploiting their privileged position in the market, import lobbies and interest groups illegally distort the relationship between store prices and production costs. Agricultural land and water will become protected national assets that guarantee food security for all our families and future generations.
10. Affordable housing for young couples and under-resourced professions
Apartments with favorable lease and purchase, with tax breaks for young families and employees in education and healthcare, to solve housing issues, start a family and stay in the country.
11. Available medicines and a doctor in every village
State control and drastic reductions in drug prices, along with the renovation of rural clinics and health centers and the employment of young doctors and technicians, guarantee basic healthcare in every part of Serbia.
