The members of the government of the assassinated Prime Minister Zoran Djindjić paid tribute today in the courtyard of the Government of Serbia, at the place where he was assassinated mail to Đinđić and laid flowers. Zoran Živković, who took over as prime minister after Djindjic's murder, told reporters that this year's anniversary of Zoran Djindjic's murder coincides with the presidential elections and that "at least three presidential candidates rejoiced" when he was killed. "In these elections, Serbia has the opportunity to put itself on the right path. The unveiling of the monument to Djindjic has been announced for next year. Citizens must not allow those who rejoiced in Djindjic's murder to unveil it," said Živković. He said that since 2005, little work has been done to discover the perpetrators of the murder, that he knows that the prosecution is not working on it, and that the Minister of the Interior did not know how to tell him how many people are working on it. Živković said that he believes that the Milošević family was involved in the murder of Zoran Đinđić, but that there is no evidence to support this.
Slobodan Milosavljević, Gordana Matković, Goran Pitić, Dragoslav Šumarac, Branislav Lečić and Anđelka Mihajlov gave the post to Đinđić. The Prime Minister of Serbia, Zoran Đinđić, was killed in the courtyard of the Serbian Government building on March 12, 2003.
