The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Maja Gojković, stated that today, before calling the elections, she will have another meeting with the legal team in order to determine the exact date of calling the presidential elections.
"I will have another meeting with the legal team to see when I can call the elections and for which dates. In a few hours it will be precisely defined. At 13 pm I will announce the date to the public," Gojković told RTS.
When asked whether the election campaign might last 30 days, as some media reported, Gojković said that she would stick to the legal framework of 30 to 60 days when deciding.
Regarding the decision that the parliament will not sit until the presidential elections are over, she said that there is a possibility that, if there is something urgent, an extraordinary session can be held.
The spring session of the Assembly of Serbia started yesterday, but a break was set during the determination of the agenda of the session until the presidential elections are held.
