The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Theresa May, said that she wants to facilitate Brexit, but that the negotiations on the country's exit from the European Union will be complicated.
"I want to see the process go as smoothly as possible. It will be complicated because there is so much to deal with," May told the Financial Times, Reuters reports.
May also said that the EU does not want other countries to leave the union and that the negotiations could be tense because of this.
Asked about relations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, May replied that it is important to build ties with all 27 EU member states.
"I think it is important to build ties with others sitting at the European table. There are 27 member countries that will participate in the negotiations," added the British Prime Minister.
