British Prime Minister Theresa May says she is not sleeping at night over efforts to secure the "best possible scenario" for Britain after the country's exit from the European Union.
"This is a moment of change. It is an extremely challenging time. And we need to agree on the terms of Brexit. I am very aware of that," she said in an interview with the "Sunday Times".
May said that she will activate Article 50, that is, negotiations with the EU on Brexit by the end of May.
Critics in London and Brussels say that the government does not have a comprehensive plan to meet this deadline and accuse the British Prime Minister and her ministers of lack of transparency and disorganization around Brexit, writes Politiko.
May says she wants to ensure Britain becomes a functioning country for everyone and has a new role in the world when it leaves the EU.
"We can achieve success and we will achieve it. But these are really complex issues," she said.
