British Prime Minister Theresa May warned today that the British economy may face "difficult times" after Brexit.
"I'm not going to pretend that everything will be easy and good. We have to prepare for the fact that we may face difficult times. But I'm an optimist," she said in an interview with the BBC.
May has ruled out early elections in the near future, saying Britain needs stability after the decision to leave the European Union.
May, who is at the G20 summit in China where she met world leaders including US and Chinese presidents Barack Obama and Xi Jinping, said she wanted to discuss with them what future trade deals would look like after Brexit.
