The British airline "British Airways" is re-establishing direct flights to Iran today after the lifting of international sanctions against that country.
The first direct flight from London to Tehran in four years will take off from Heathrow Airport tonight and land in the Iranian capital the next morning, airport officials said.
The flights were suspended in October 2012 due to the deterioration of relations between the two countries.
The British airline is initially planning six weekly return flights to Tehran, and the number of departures will be increased by the end of the year.
Some of the sanctions against Iran were lifted after the agreement on the nuclear deal with the major powers.
British officials have urged companies to look for business opportunities in Iran after the thaw in relations between the two countries.
