The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that Russian President Vladimir Putin is looking for a way to escalate the conflict with Ukraine, regarding Russia's accusations that Kiev tried to carry out a terrorist attack in Crimea.
"Putin wants more war. Russia wants escalation, is desperately looking for a provocation of Ukraine, is testing the reaction of the West," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter, Reuters reports.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it prevented a terrorist attack in Crimea, which was organized by the intelligence agency of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, and Putin accused Ukraine of choosing terrorism instead of a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
Ukraine is "playing a dangerous game," Putin said, and called Kiev's actions "stupid and criminal."
Earlier today, official Kiev denied Moscow's accusations, and a spokesman for the Ukrainian military intelligence service said that "it is false information."
