The Russian heavy transport plane "Ilyushin Il-76", which participated in the operation to extinguish a forest fire, disappeared this morning in the Irkutsk region, with 11 crew members and experts from the fire service, local rescue services announced.
A source from the regional rescue service told TAS S that the "Ilyushin Il-76" plane, which participated in firefighting in the Irkutsk region, lost radio contact.
"The plane took off to put out the fire and at some point the communication was lost," he said.
The search for the plane is ongoing, according to the Russian agency.
The plane, according to some data, belongs to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
