Today, the German police arrested two members of a right-wing group suspected of inciting violence against foreigners via the Internet, spreading Nazi propaganda and denying the Holocaust.
In a statement from the public prosecutor's office, it is said that 60 police officers and investigators participated in the operation, which included the search of locations in four German federal states and one in Spain.
Arrested Juta V. (47) and Ralf Tomas K. (27) are suspected of having, as leaders of a criminal organization, launched the "Altermedia Deutschland" portal where users can register and participate in forum discussions on the topic of racial affiliation.
The prosecution announced that three more members of the group were suspected, but did not specify their residence, reports Reuters.
In addition to prohibited Nazi salutes and terminology, the portal also published calls for violence against foreigners living in Germany and members of other races and religions, as well as denial of the Holocaust, according to the prosecution.
