The alert level has been raised in Geneva, and the Swiss federal police are looking for people suspected of having participated in last month's attacks in Paris.
Security at the United Nations in Geneva told Reuters that Swiss authorities were looking for "four men" they believed to be in the area.
"The Geneva police have raised the level of caution and increased the number of police officers on the ground," according to a statement from the security department in Geneva.
As reported by the British agency, UN security guards at the entrances to the complex are equipped with automatic weapons.
