A woman was arrested in a Paris suburb on suspicion of being connected to an aide to the only person accused of the attacks in Paris, according to sources close to the investigation.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, said the woman, whose name has not been released, is the partner of a 25-year-old man who was arrested Tuesday in the suburb of Malakof, AP reports.
A few hours later, the police also arrested a woman in Saint-Denis.
Until now, the arrested man was only known to the police as a drug dealer, according to AP.
He is believed to have collaborated with Javad Bendaud, who is the only one preliminarily charged with the Paris attacks.
Before his arrest, Bendaud admitted to providing a hideout for Abaaoud, but denied knowing it was connected to the November 13 attacks. He stated that he did it as a "favor" for Abaaoud.
Abaud, his cousin and an unidentified man were killed in a police operation that raided Bendaud's apartment on November 18, AP reports.
