Britain is commemorating 20 years of the genocide in Srebrenica, the BBC reports.
The Prime Minister of that country, David Cameron, said before the service in Westminster Abbey that "we must never forget what happened in Srebrenica".
The central event of the anniversary will be a mass in Westminster Abbey, which will be attended by more than 2.000 people.
In addition, more than 100 events are planned across Britain to pay tribute to those who died.
"The 20th anniversary of the genocide is a moment to remember all those who lost their lives, their families, many of them disappeared, including the mothers of Srebenica, their agony continues every day, regardless of the passage of time," Cameron said.
