Interior Police Minister Bernard Kaznev said that another reported shooting in Paris was just a false alarm.
French media reported that the Trocadero, a part of the city near the Eiffel Tower, was evacuated and that police were dispatched to the scene of the shooting.
According to some reports, the police also fired, but no report has been officially confirmed.
France is shaken by a series of attacks after the massacre in the editorial office of the newspaper "Charlie Hebdo" on January 7. A day later, a policewoman was killed, and today the suspects for the massacre in the newsroom occupied the printing house and took a hostage.
A little later today, a hostage crisis began in a Paris kosher store, where at least two people were killed, and the suspects are connected to the murder of a policewoman, and indirectly to the attack on "Charlie Hebdo".
