Airbus CEO Tom Enders warned today that the company could move its operations out of the UK in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
In a statement, Enders clearly warned that Brexit threatens to destroy a century of development in Great Britain, a global leader in the field of aviation, and added that the country is now on the brink of an abyss, AP reports.
He called on the British "not to listen to the madness of Brexiteers" who claim that Airbus will stay in the UK forever because it has huge factories in the country.
"They're wrong," Enders said.
Airbus has more than 14.000 employees in the UK, with a further 110.000 people working in jobs supported by Airbus programmes.
The UK is due to leave the EU on March 29.
The Dutch authorities announced yesterday that they are in contact with more than 250 foreign companies that plan to move to that country due to the exit of Great Britain from the European Union.
