British fighter jets intercepted a Russian patrol plane over the Black Sea, which is the second such incident this week, the British Ministry of Defense announced, reports Tanjug.
The British "typhoons" took off yesterday from the "Mihail Kogalniceanu" air base in Romania due to the Russian B-12 plane flying over the Black Sea to the southwest from the direction of Crimea, reported Reuters.
Two days ago, the British Royal Air Force (RAF) announced that two Typhoon fighter jets had been lifted from a base in Romania to investigate suspicions that a Russian fighter aircraft was operating near NATO airspace over the Black Sea.
"Typhoons" took off from the Romanian base near Constanta to track aircraft suspected to be Russian "Sukhoi-30", the RAF said in a statement about the Russian "Sukhoi", which NATO calls "flankers".
