The head of British diplomacy, William Hague, has warned Russia that it will face long-term "isolation and stagnation" due to the current crisis in Ukraine.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that it is time to consider a "new state of relations", different from the one of the past 20 years.
Hague told the Sunday Telegraph that the UK and its allies would not "run away in fear".
He made the announcement amid ongoing tensions since Russian troops seized control of one of the last major military bases in Crimea from the Ukrainians. Let us remind you that Russian troops occupied the Ukrainian air base, Belbek, near Sevastopol, and during the action, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded. Crimea formally became part of Russia on Friday.
