After a snow avalanche collapsed in the Alps of southern Switzerland, four people lost their lives, while one skier was seriously injured, agencies report, referring to the writings of the Swiss media.
Three people, including a guide, were killed in the canton of Valis when an avalanche fell on a group of skiers, and one person was seriously injured.
"A 34-year-old man died in the same canton while skiing off-piste," the Walis police said.
They warned of snow avalanches when skiing outside the marked trails, and that warnings about a possible high risk of avalanches are especially valid for this.
During this winter, 11 people died in a snow avalanche in Switzerland.
