The Slovenian government recently approved drastically higher vignette prices and the introduction of a new vignette class that no other country in Europe has. According to the new price list, Jutarnji list writes, from October 1, vignettes for seven days on Slovenian highways for a personal car will cost the same as before - 15 euros. However, the novelty is a new vignette class that includes the measurement of the car's height above the first axle.
In order to pay the lowest price for a vignette, the height from the base over the middle of the first wheel to the highest point of the hood of the car must be up to 1,3 meters, so that you would pay "only" 15 euros for the vignette for seven days.
If the height is higher, you will pay 40 euros for the same vignette, says Jutarnji, adding that nowhere in Europe is the height of the car the criterion for determining the toll amount, but its weight.
