The decision, in many respects historic, by the government of Ireland to allow abortion, only in special cases, true, is not the only one in the public eye today. In the video, MP Tom Barry, a member of the center-right Fine Gel party, is seen dragging his colleague Annie Collins, trying to pull her into his lap.
Barry (44), a father of three, admitted to the Irish "Independent" that he was under the influence of alcohol, "but not too much."
He added, “It shouldn't have happened. And I'll be the first to say it. I was shocked that the event was judged to be sexist. I had no intention of offending anyone, and I cannot offer any other apology, except to attribute everything to stupidity, naivety and inexperience".
He also says that he apologized to his colleague, but that because of everything he also had problems with his wife, who called him an "idiot".
