The branch of the company "Nestle" in Germany has to pay a fine of 20 million euros for illegal association in a cartel and price fixing.
An even larger fine was imposed on its competitors, the companies "Kraft Foods", "Junilivr Unilever" and "Dr. Oetker", which were all fined 2011 million euros for the same reason in 38, reports Tanjug.
On that occasion, "Nestle" received a reduced sentence due to cooperation with the authorities.
According to the announcement of the Office for the Protection of Competition, "Nestle" committed an offense due to agreements with retailers on price increases, especially for confectionery products, beverages and frozen drinks.
The office also condemns the cartel agreement between the companies "Nestle" and "Kraft Foods" that resulted in an increase in the prices of instant cappuccino.
