"State television stations will not broadcast entertainment programs," it was announced from the Kremlin, and reported by world agencies.
The death toll from recent floods in southern Russia rose to 150 on Sunday afternoon as the country faces one of its worst floods in decades.
By three o'clock in the afternoon local time on Sunday, more than 150 bodies were found in Krasnodar, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that almost 30.000 people in Krasnodar remained without electricity, and more than 5.100 houses were affected by floods.
Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachyov earlier declared Monday a day of mourning for flood victims in the region.
On Saturday, 14 Russians were killed and 29 injured when a bus carrying 40 Russian pilgrims overturned on a highway in Ukraine.
