The Russian spaceship "Progress" docked today at the International Space Station (ISS), where it delivered 2,4 tons of goods for the station's five-member crew.
The Russian ship was launched two days ago from the "Baikonur" cosmodrome, and the cargo it delivered contains food, water, fuel, equipment and shipments of the families of the cosmonauts staying on the station.
Five astronauts are currently staying on the station - Russians Anton Shkaplerov, Anatoly Ivanishin, Oleg Kononenko, Americans Daniel Burbank and Donald Petty, and Dutchman Andre Koypers.
The ship that docked today is the second of a total of five planned to be sent to the space station this year. In addition to the Russian ones, one European and one Japanese, as well as two American ships will be launched.
