"More than 300 people were arrested, including politicians Ilya Yashin and Alexei Navalny," the Moscow police announced.
One of the arrested, fore reporter Alexey Belov, told the portal Gazeta.ru that there are 27 people in one of the police departments since last night, that is, for more than 18 hours.
At the same time, as he stated, the police do not give them water or food, and they also refused to call an ambulance for a disabled person.
All those arrested are charged with disobeying police orders.
"We all have high education and we were never detained, which surprised the police," he said, adding that they were all detained at the time of the permitted rally, that is, before the protesters tried to break through the police cordon.
