A state of emergency has been declared in Dublin after a storm with downpours caused flooding.
Railway traffic was interrupted, roads were closed, and houses were full of water.
The Met Office said more rain had fallen in 24 hours than in a month and that some parts of Dublin were completely under water.
The City Assembly implemented an emergency plan and sent teams to evacuate the most vulnerable neighborhoods and help the most vulnerable population.
The departure of several ships from the port of Dublin has been canceled, and airplane flights have been diverted to other airports, Reuters reported.
