"News" in Amsterdam: The sex tax brings in over a billion dollars a year

For the city with the most museums per capita in the world, the sex tax alone brings in over a billion dollars every year.

The service of girls in Amsterdam shop windows costs 50 euros for fifteen minutes, 80 for half an hour.

This implies sex, with the use of a sterilized dildo, boiled underwear on a bed on which, according to regulations, there must be a pillow.

The working hours of sex workers are 40 hours a week. They have been paying taxes to the state since 1996, and they can take out loans for new business ventures, they have the right to strike, but also to refuse customers.

About 1.300 storefronts in the Netherlands

The Red Light district, where there are shop windows with many attractive girls, is a part of the city with many buildings from the 14th century. The girls who work in the windows in that neighborhood are very different. Some look like little girls, others are like barbies, there are some with glasses and a serious demeanor.

We offer the services of thin, but also fuller girls, with a lush bust, but also those without it, with tattoos, piercings, but also without them. There are various ages, from 18 to late forties, as well as racial, national and ethnic backgrounds - white women, black women, Asian women, Indian women are sitting and smiling in the windows...

Girls in shop windows dance to music, type messages on mobile phones or simply talk to each other over a glass of drink. They flirt with passers-by to attract customers.

They work in a very small room that is behind the window, which according to the rules, must have a stereo and a red curtain for the large window/door, which is drawn as soon as the customer enters, and raised when he leaves.

There are about 1.300 such storefronts throughout the Netherlands, in a dozen cities. The largest number of them is located in Amsterdam.
