British Prime Minister Theresa May asked the European Union today to postpone the withdrawal of Great Britain from the European Union until June 30.
May stated, in a letter to the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, that she is asking for an extension of the deadline, with the intention of trying, for the third time, to get the Brexit agreement approved.
Great Britain is currently due to leave the EU in nine days, but the British Parliament has twice rejected the agreement on the separation of London from Brussels.
Postponing Brexit requires the approval of all 27 (remaining) EU members, who will meet in Brussels tomorrow (Thursday).
