A 25-year concession contract for the Belgrade airport "Nikola Tesla" was signed by representatives of the Government of Serbia and the French corporation "Vanci Airports".
The signing was attended by Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, Minister of Transport Zorana Mihajlović, Chief Executive Officer of "Vansi Concession" and President of "Vansi" company Nikola Notbar, Ambassador of France to Serbia, Frederik Mondoloni, writes N1.
The company "Vansi" offered 501 million euros with an investment commitment of 732 million euros, of which 417 million euros will flow into the budget of the Republic of Serbia, and 84 million euros will go to small shareholders.
The concession fee will range from 4,4 million euros to 15 million euros.
"I can say that I am very proud to be the Prime Minister during whose term of office the concession contract for the Nikola Tesla airport was signed", said Brnabić, "This contract ensures investments in the airport in the next 25 years, provides one billion and 500 million ... Not only will this contract increase the number of passengers, but it will make Belgrade a hub for this part of Europe."
The 25-year concession agreement includes financing, airport infrastructure management, maintenance, development through construction and reconstruction, and further modernization of the airport.
The proposed capital investments are rehabilitation and reconstruction of the main runway, construction of an inserted runway, auxiliary taxiways and quick exits from the runway. According to the announcements, development of the terminal area, increase in the number of gates and additional development of cargo stands are expected.
The company "Vansi" operates at 35 airports, on three continents and in seven countries. At the airports it manages, "Vanci" achieved a total traffic of 157 million passengers, 1,4 billion euros in revenue and a growth of 12,4 percent of the total traffic. Earlier, they announced that the Belgrade airport will be their headquarters for the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
The concessionaire was sought for a year, and the deadlines were extended several times.
