At least 140.000 households were left without power when the powerful storm hit parts of France, with many roads blocked by uprooted and fallen trees.
Storm "Ameli" also brought torrential floods to the southeast of the country, the Ansa agency reported.
47 people were evacuated from one camp. Rail traffic on several rail routes is also interrupted.
Wind gusts reached 160 kilometers per hour, reports Tanjug.

The storm is moving inland and its intensity is weakening, the National Weather Service announced.
